My Boyfriend's Back!

OMG! I am sick of this weather. Snow, snow and more snow. Almost everyday there is some kind of snow.  I was tired of being couped up in the house, braved the cold and did a  little coupon shopping. I never leave home without them, my handbag actually has a neat and organized coupon envelope in it, so I always have them with me.  As soon as they arrive in the mail, I cut them out and they get stashed in my handbag.  I bought a pair of boyfriend jeans at Dressbarn and I love the fit, they are perfect and can be paired with anything.  Check them out.

Blue Jeans Times Two

I have been a clothes hog since I had my first job in high school.  I would spend almost my whole paycheck on clothes, shoes, jewelry and handbags.  I still love clothes, but try to get more out of my pieces with creative ways to wear them. I took a dark wash pair of skinny jeans and paired them two ways.  Check them out.

Dark Skinny Jeans - rolled up, Coral Lace Tank Top, Oatmeal Sweater, Iridescent Silver Bead Chain Necklace and Nude Ballerina Flats with Marcasite Studded Bow.

Midnight Blue

Why is navy blue such a hard color to find in clothing, and in shoes for that matter.  It's such a classic color, I don't know why designer's shy away from it.  If I have the choice to wear black, gray or navy, I go with navy hands down, everytime.  Nowadays, I see women pairing their black clothing with navy clothing, imagine that.  So when I am out and about and I see something I like in navy that's classic and will never go out of style, I snatch it up.  This navy dress, I also got as a gift for Christmas, and paired with a few things of my own.  I like the style of the dress, the sparkle, the sleeve, and a wrap style, you can't go wrong with that!

Lady in Red

Most people have one favorite color, I don't have just one favorite color.  Red is one of my favorite colors, pink is another.  In fact, I love all colors, they make me happy.  I was never a black, white and gray girl, my two daughters wear those colors all the time.  Although I do like those colors in combinations with other colors, I just don't wear them alone.  I always say brighten it up, especially around the face.  It gives your skintone a whole different look.  I got this dress for Christmas and I LOVE IT!  It reminds me of a pencil dress from the 1950's.  Clean lines, high scoop neckline, nice sleeve, detail at the waist and at the top, and perfect length.  What can I say - only that it's the perfect dress for me.  I dressed it up a little more with some of my jewelry and silver metallic shoes and handbag, Hey, I am ready to go!

This is one of my favorite necklaces - Pearl Gray Pearls with Rhinestones and Black Silk Ribbon Tie.

Dressy Time!

Everyone loves to get dressed up for the holidays.  It's a special occasion time, a time of fun.  When I was little we always had our Christmas dresses, my sister and I.  My mother usually matched us like twins, even though we weren't, but we loved it, and we felt so pretty in our fancy dresses, shoes and coats.  My mom always shopped at a specialty store for our holiday clothes, because she always wanted us to look our best.  I am alot older now, but still like to get dressed up.  These are a few fancy outfits I put together for the holidays, take a peek.

Whoo Hoo, Shoes!

Let's not forget that shoes are an accessory, a part of the outfit, that pop of color or sparkle.  What you wear on your feet is just as important as what you wear on your body.  Everybody looks! so give them something to look at.  A cute pair of flats or pumps will get them paying attention to the rest of your outfit. So put on your shoes and strut your stuff!

Beauty Alert!
The bottle on the left is Oil of Olay Skin Toner.  I have been using this stuff forever and always have a backup so I never run out of it.  I think WalMart has the cheapest price, about $4.00.  Pour this on a cotton ball, rub all over your face, after you have washed it, and see all the dirt that it pulls out of your skin.  In fact, you don't even have to wash your face you can just use this and it will clean it. You will be amazed.  Keeps pores from clogging up and therefore no blemishes.  And yes, you still get them when your 56 years old!

The little tube on the bottom is ELF.  ELF makes very inexpensive good makeup and you can find it at Target.  This little tube does wonders.  With just a little dab, it will brighten your eyes and lift your lips.  Put a small dab on the tip of your finger, brush under your brow bones, in the corners of your eyes (near your nose, that corner), and swipe it over the top part of your lips.  Instant brighter face!

Cute bobby pins to hold all the summer fly away hairs that blow in your face.  They add a little sparkle too. And who doesn't like sparkle!
