A Little Sassy And A Little Classy

I wrote in an earlier blog about these great leggings/jeggings I found at Walmart.  They were so reasonably priced I bought 3 pair of them (camel, grey and leopard print).  They fit great, don't show anything, they actually keep everything in place (you all know what I'm talking about!) and they are double knit so you can't see through them.  Hey I'm a big girl, I don't want anything showing that isn't supposed to be showing.  No one wants to see all of me, heck, I don't want to see all of me for that matter, HAHA! There is nothing worse than people wearing these type of pants and you can see right through them, all that flesh is not to be seen in public, save it for the bedroom - ya know.

This is how I paired my leggings/jeggings, one sassy and one classy.

Sale Away!

Hit some sales this past week, and got a lot of  good, inexpensive things to add to the wardrobe.  Of course all were bought at discount, or with coupons, I don't leave home without them.  I actually keep a hard plastic envelope in my purse and stock it with all kinds of retail coupons, so I always have them.  I do not buy anything full price, EVER.

So, off to the stores. I was looking for jeggings/leggings that you can not see through. I found them at Walmart!  These 3 pair on the left- dark grey, dark camel and a leopard print, are all double ponte knit, thick, and fit perfect.  They are a very nice quality for the price.  The grey were $12.44 and the other 2 pair were $14.97 each.  So if you are looking and can not find nice non-see through  jeggings/leggings, check out Walmart.

I also found a pair of Jessica Simpson dark wash skinny jeans at Marshall's for $19.99, and a pair of boyfriend jeans at Kohl's for $34.99.
I paired the boyfriend jeans with this red peasant top with an under cami, I found on the clearance rack at Marshall's for $20.  I also paired the boyfriend jeans with this pale pink satin and jersey knit JLo t-shirt on sale at Kohl's for $19.99.  Jewelry and shoes for both outfits I already had.
The leopard jeggings on the left, I paired with an orange lace tank and a jean jacket.
I had the black leggings, the high-low, long jersey knit, 3/4 sleeve black and blue print top at
Marshall's for $24.99, perfect with leggings. Jewelry and shoes for both outfits I already had.

I've Got The Skinny On the Leggings

I got the lowdown on these leggings that everyone is wearing, I thought I would give them a try.  Fall and Winter are staring us down here in the Northeast, the trees are already turning and it's only August! Soon it will be time to bundle up and stay cozy, with leggings, sweaters and boots.  I love the look, and it's been around for some time now.  I found this pair of leggings at BBB and used my $5.00 off a $15.00 or more purchase.  The price for the leggings was $19.99 but came down to $14.99 using my coupon.  I can never say it enough, USE COUPONS, you want your money in your pocket. I put together some outfits with my leggings by layering other pieces in my wardrobe, check them out.

These are the leggings in black.  They have a high waist, are made very well, and have a lot of spandex.  They fit snug, make you  look slimmer, hide a multitude of sins (body flaws), and you can't see through them, that is a good thing!
I paired them with a heathered gray long sleeve top and my riding boots.  Then I just fancy tied a gold scarf around the neck.
Took off the gold scarf, added a royal blue drape sweater, and then added a rolled neck scarf.
Took off the royal blue drape sweater, put on a red drape sweater, then added a black and white infinity scarf with pom pom ball fringe.  All easy, versatile pieces.  If it gets too warm remove the sweater or the scarf and you still have a cute updated outfit.
