Sayonara Ugly Green - New Day, New Bathroom!

The painting has commenced again, in my daughters bathroom this time.  I finished her bedroom and now it's on to her bathroom.  Her bathroom is in her room, lucky girl.   It's a small bathroom, but nonetheless it's all hers and she doesn't have to share with her brothers.  She picked a lighter shade of the blue that is in her bedroom. So off with the green and....

look how pretty!  I love this blue color and am thinking of using it in another room in the house, the guest bedroom.  It's a very soft, calming color of paint.  The ceiling was green also and now it's white.  I used the same color on the ceiling as the bedroom.
Moving around the room and almost done.  Caution Wet Paint!
Gone green, gone.  HELLO pretty blue!
Last wall done, all cleaned up and put back together!
Just have to hang the new shower curtain.
For less than $100, and in a matter of hours, the whole bathroom is transformed into something pretty.
These are the two colors I used - Popped Corn on the ceiling and Cloudy Day on the walls, both from Behr. Now on to the next project, the boys bath is getting done.  I will take a mini vacation this week from painting and then start that room.  I am keeping my promise to get the projects out of the way before the warm weather.

The Tops

I added these two tops, that I have had my eye on, to my wardrobe recently.  The one on the right is really a cobalt blue it looks darker than that in this picture, I don't think the lighting in my closet was all that good when I photographed it.  I don't have anything in my closet that is this color, and I needed to add it.  I am never drawn to shades of blue when purchasing clothing, I don't know why.  I thought I would add this color, to see how it looks with a a lot of other pieces I already have.  The draped neckline is ideal for long and short necklaces or earrings, and the length is perfect for belting.  The fit on this top is great, I can't wait for the cooler weather to wear it.

I adore leopard print and think every woman should have at least one piece of clothing, or one accessory, in leopard print in her wardrobe.  This blouse on the left feels like silk, but costs much less.  It has an elongated neckline and a collar that can be left up, or folded down if you like.  This blouse is also perfect for wearing with leggings because it lays right to the hips.  Throw on a jacket and you're done with three easy pieces.  This is also perfect for all the colors of Fall, it will go with orange, red, green, black, brown, tan, jeans and many other colors.  Dress it up or dress it down, it will always look great!  Both of these pieces were purchased at Dressbarn, with you guessed it, COUPONS!  I don't leave home without them, why pay full price when you don't have too.

Charming Little Clutches

I have been itching to go to Charming Charlie's for some time, so I went the other day.  They have been sending me emails about their sales, so I wanted to go and check them out.  If you have never been to Charming Charlie's, it is a women's accessories store, and so much fun to visit.  Take a friend with you, she will find things you don't even see, you don't want to miss anything.  They have everything in their stores color coordinated.  Every accessory in every color imaginable, a girl's dream come true!  Shoes, clothes, handbags, jewelry, trinkets, gifts, I could go on and on about this store.  The first time I visited the shop, I was a little overwhelmed.  So much to see, choose, and buy, you have to spend hours just to look at everything!  I found a few pieces, on sale of course, while I was there. And never forget to check out their clearance section, always good stuff there too!

Red/Gold printed silky studded clutch bag with gold chain strap and snap closure - Original Price $20.00,  Sale Price $9.99
Blue metallic clutch bag with silver chain strap and ball clasp closure - Original Price $25.00,
Sale Price $9.99
Black and gold studded textured clutch with double snap closure - Original Price $24.00,  Sale Price $9.99
I purchased all three bags for less than half of the total original prices.  Original cost would have been $73.14 including tax.  My cost for all three bags was $31.77 including tax. SCORE for me! And I can't wait to use my charming little bags.
