I Think I Need A Bigger Mirror!

So instead of arranging my outfits on the floor for pictures, I bought a mirror to take some selfies.  I AM NOT good at all this new technology stuff, as you know, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.  So, I was playing around with my phone, some outfits and the mirror for a trial run.  The outfits didn't look too bad, but I think the mirror needs to be much larger, or I could be much taller and thinner, but it's too late in the game for that!  I don't like the whole frame being in the picture.  I will be working on getting that mirror and taking better pictures, practice makes perfect.
So here are my outfits for this past month.

Went to the zoo a few weeks ago with my good friends and their children, had a blast!  So in honor of the snakes we saw, I had on a snake skin print, bloused drop neck top, pumpkin military jacket, skinny jeans and metallic flats.  Perfect Fall day and perfect outfit for the zoo.
Went to dinner and a movie with the hubby, saw Bridge of Spies, great movie by the way, and dinner was at one of our favorite Italian restaurants.  Nice night out and comfortable outfit.  Layered paisley print top, black leather studded jacket, skinny jeans and black leather and leopard print boots.
I threw this outfit together to go to the bank and the grocery store the other day.  It was a little chilly so I opted for a red leather jacket to keep me warm.
Boyfriend jeans rolled up, a black, gray and white animal print popover top and gray zippered shoeties.  To my surprise while walking in the grocery store, I received two compliments, one on the jacket and one on the whole outfit!  A feel good day for me.
Running around town and grocery shopping. Easy dressing on a warm Fall day.  Teal and black print, cinched at the waist, pull over button down top, skinny jeans and leopard flats.  Love me some leopard print on anything.  It was a short week of outings, have to clean and cook sometime!

Boots Are Made For Walking

Yay!  It's boot season, and what a better way to start it than with a new pair of boots.  Camel or Cognac whatever you want to call it, I love this color for fall and winter.  This color is classic and it goes with everything.  I purchased a pair of black riding boots last year, and my goal this year has been achieved by finding this pair of boots and I could not pass them up, all leather and nicely lined for dry, warm feet in the cold winter months.  I will definitely slather on  a layer of protector to preserve the leather.

Nine West Riding Boots with buckle detail and side zipper - Marshall's $79.99
I also found this pair of Ralph Lauren camel colored pumps at Marshall's, again they are classic and go with everything, $49.99.

Go For The Sale!

We have a new Target in town, so the hubby and I went to check it out last week.   I found a few cute things on sale, who can resist a sale.  Among some of the things I found were these boots, adorable flats in a color I do not have, a pair of earrings and a scarf.  We really went in for the nice cotton men's T-shirts they had on sale for $4.00 each, we did get those among some other things we purchased.  Nice things and reasonably priced.

Cognac Moto Calf Boots - $17.98
 Cognac Ballet Flat - $16.99
Blue Rhinestone Earrings - $3.98 & Red Polka Dot Fringed Scarf - $5.00

I've Got The Skinny On the Leggings

I got the lowdown on these leggings that everyone is wearing, I thought I would give them a try.  Fall and Winter are staring us down here in the Northeast, the trees are already turning and it's only August! Soon it will be time to bundle up and stay cozy, with leggings, sweaters and boots.  I love the look, and it's been around for some time now.  I found this pair of leggings at BBB and used my $5.00 off a $15.00 or more purchase.  The price for the leggings was $19.99 but came down to $14.99 using my coupon.  I can never say it enough, USE COUPONS, you want your money in your pocket. I put together some outfits with my leggings by layering other pieces in my wardrobe, check them out.

These are the leggings in black.  They have a high waist, are made very well, and have a lot of spandex.  They fit snug, make you  look slimmer, hide a multitude of sins (body flaws), and you can't see through them, that is a good thing!
I paired them with a heathered gray long sleeve top and my riding boots.  Then I just fancy tied a gold scarf around the neck.
Took off the gold scarf, added a royal blue drape sweater, and then added a rolled neck scarf.
Took off the royal blue drape sweater, put on a red drape sweater, then added a black and white infinity scarf with pom pom ball fringe.  All easy, versatile pieces.  If it gets too warm remove the sweater or the scarf and you still have a cute updated outfit.

Shake Your Booties!

Gotta keep those feet warm in the Winter ladies!  And what better way to do it than with a cute pair of boots or shoeties.  Dust them off and line them up for the wearing, this season.
