Warm Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae

There are a few restaurants out there that serve this dessert on their menu and it is so good!  Warm, soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie, baked right in an iron skillet in the oven, then topped with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate sauce. I am sure you can use any kind of cookie dough for this recipe.  Sugar, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, just to name a few.  Be creative with it, use all kinds of toppings, that go with the flavor of the cookie dough you are using.  I started making these skillet cookies, my way, and my family stalks me until they come out of the oven.  You're gonna love 'em, they are so easy!  This is how I make it:

Warm Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae

Cooking Spray
1 roll of Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, dough of your choice, or your own homemade dough
Breyers Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, or ice cream of your choice
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup or Hot Fudge Sauce
Whipped Cream and Maraschino Cherries, optional
Any other toppings of your choice

Generously spray a cast iron skillet with the cooking spray.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Press the cookie dough into the pan and to the edges of the skillet.  Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the cookie is browned.  Take out of the oven and place on a heat proof surface, it will be very hot!.  Cut into pieces and serve with ice cream and toppings of your choice.

Your ingredients and served up, ready to eat.
It looks sooo good!  I knew it wouldn't last long. By the end of the night only one piece was left.
