Old Fashion Sticky Buns

Growing up my mom would make cinnamon rolls out of Jiffy baking mix, ooh they were so good!  Just the scent of them baking in the oven, would make me antsy for them to come out of the oven, and I couldn't wait to eat them.  Any baked good with cinnamon, I am right there waiting to eat it.  Geez I love food, and any chance to cook or bake something tasty I'm all in.  I make these sticky buns, or some people call them cinnamon rolls, today and my family loves them the way I loved my mothers.

Get your ingredients ready and start layering in the baking pan.  Then cover the dough with a clean dish towel and let rise overnight.  The dough has risen and they are ready to go in the oven.
Sticky Buns, yummy goodness on a plate - so good and nice and warm.

Easy Homemade Sticky Buns
INGREDIENTS
Cooking Spray
1 1/2 cups of raisins or sweetened cranberries
1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
1 Tbsp cinnamon
½ cup sugar
1 package of Rhodes frozen dinner roll dough (18 -24 in a bag), DO NOT THAW
1 - 3.5 oz. package of Jello butterscotch or vanilla pudding, DO NOT USE INSTANT
½ cup of dark brown sugar
½ cup of melted butter = 1 stick

DIRECTIONS
Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.  Spread the raisins and the nuts evenly in the bottom of the pan.  Mix the cinnamon and the sugar in a baggie.  Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon sugar pressing on each one.  As you coat the rolls, arrange them in the baking dish 4 to a row on the short side of the pan, spacing evenly.  20 dough balls should fit in the pan.  Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar, dry pudding, then the brown sugar over the rolls.  Drizzle the melted butter over all.  Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave on the counter overnight to let them rise.  In the morning bake at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.  The top of the rolls, which is really the bottom, should be brown.  As soon as you remove from the oven flip out of the pan, onto a plate the same size as the baking dish, by placing the plate directly over the baking dish.  You can also flip the buns out of the baking dish and onto a cookie sheet.      Be careful buns will be very hot!
